Applications for future productions
CUOS is continuously accepting applications for future shows, and the society will consider any serious application for funding and support throughout the year.
However, there are two traditional annual slots for which the society is always looking for enthusiatic production teams to fill.
Mainshow
Traditionally held in West Road Concert Hall in second half of Lent Term (late February to early March), this is a chance to use a large space with a capacity of 499 seats with orchestra pit.
This year's production is Strauss' Die Fledermaus. Recent productions include Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande, and Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin.
2013 Mainshow
Watch this space for news on when for applications for the 2013 mainshow will open.
May Week show
Typically taking place one week either side of May Week (mid June), this is traditionally an opportunity to use a less well known work and / or choose an unconventional space, although applications do not have to conform to these guidelines.
The 2011 production was Walton's The Bear, performed at The Round Church.
